A sex symbol in Europe, the voluptuous Kelly Brook started modeling at age 16 and became one of the hottest lingerie models in Britain. This enchanting English flower crossed over to the United States and turned heads with her hot performance as the dastardly "Victoria Hardwick" on The WB's drama series Smallville in 2002. After finishing her schooling, by attending the Italia Conte stage school in London for 3 years, Kelly began her career working as a model. Kelly claims to have the archetypal "pushy mum" who entered her for a Miss Pears Soap beauty contest at the age of three. She didn't win but ten years later she was crowned Medway Carnival Princess. One of her first jobs came when she was hired to be a model as part of an advertising campaign for a local flooring company called KMC, she supplemented her modelling income by working as a waitress in a local tea shop. Kelly started modelling professionally at 16 and starred in her first advertising campaign for Lee Jeans. Since then she's featured in campaigns for Renault Megane, Walkers and Piz Buin. Her first media break came when she was taken an interest in, and images of her are still regularly published to this day, by the UK national tabloid newspaper The Star. She was then recognized by, and is often featured in, the 'lad's mags' (FHM, Maxim etc). Her first TV appearance was in an advert for Sure deodorant with presenter Jonathan Ross. In addition to her commercial work, Kelly has presented on MTV, Babewatch (Granada) and The T-spot (Trouble TV). She co-hosted No Worries on the ITV Network with Mark Little and was the main presenter on VPL, a magazine lifestyle programme for Granada. Her big break came in February 1999 when she co-hosted C4's 'The Big Breakfast' with Johnny Vaughan. Later in the year she was unfairly sacked by the show without being told! She only found out when she saw the headlines on the newstand's while on holiday.
Kelly wasn't out of work for long however as she was quickly hired to promote the latest range of bra's from Triumph International, during which she appeared on the largest billboard advertisement in the UK, some 50ft high. She was soon back on TV presenting MTV Select in the UK and Ireland as well as MTV Asia. The big screen was next with minor roles in independent movies 'Sorted' and 'Ripper', before she took to the stage in the role of 'Anya' for the play 'Eye Contact' during it's short run in London. After seeking work in the US with fiance Jason Statham she was hired by Warner Brothers for the show 'The (Mis)Adventures of Fiona Plum', which was canned by the network before being aired. The network liked what they saw and she was given a 4 episode role as Lex Luthor's girlfriend Victoria in the series 'Smallville', set during the college days of Superman. Kelly's next venture was in Canada taking the part of Claire in the independent movie 'Absolon' with Christopher Lambert and Lou Diamond Phillips before filming her role as Linda Fashiabella in US TV movie 'Romy and Michelle: Behind the Velvet Rope.
Kelly Brook ( birth name Kelly Parsons) was born on November 23, 1979, in Rochester, Kent, England. From the beginning, Kelly's career looked promising when she won a prestigious place at London's Italia Conti stage school at 17. But her mum Sandra, a cook and dad Ken, a scaffolder couldn't afford the fees when her application for a grant was turned down. She started doing some modelling for local firms, including flooring company KMC, while supporting herself as a waitress in a local tea shop. Finally, after being discovered by the Daily Star, then appearing in various UK men's magazines, she appeared in a TV ad for Sure deodorant with Jonathan Ross, where she played the game show hostess 'Nicky with the Ticky'. Her career really took off when she was announced as the successor to Denise Van Outen on Channel 4's excellent morning show, The Big Breakfast. Since February 1st, Kelly's face has become one of the best reasons to get out of bed in the morning. Many doubted whether she would fit in alongside Johnny Vaughan quite as easily as her predecessor, but she has since proved herself completely up to the task.
While on holidays with her boyfriend towards the end on July 1999, news reports circulated that Kelly's position as presenter of the Big Breakfast was to be terminated. Rather than face the sack or find herself in a negative position on the show, Kelly decided to resign. With time now on her hands, Kelly decided to spend more time with her boyfriend, while also on the lookout for a job. Quickly Kelly became a model for Triumph International Underware, and an image of her was placed on a poster in London, which went on record for being the largest advertising billboard in England, if not the world. Always on the lookout for beautiful presenters, Kelly also soon found herself presenting MTV Select on MTV UK and Ireland, apost which she still currently resides and is doing extremely well.
She has now starred in a blockbuster play, 'Eye Contact' and a movie 'Sorted'. A new film 'Ripper' is due out this year.
Billy Zane and Kelly Brook planning to wed this summer
Billy Zane and Kelly Brook are planning to wed in a star-studded ceremony this summer. The smitten pair have already invited a number of celebrity friends to the June celebration, including Leonardo DiCaprio and eccentric singer Marilyn Manson.
The Hollywood actor and the British starlet, who met and fell in love on the set of new movie 'Three', are now looking at venues in the South of France, where Billy has a second home, and Malibu. The couple have been calling up friends to see where they will be on the planned date before making any firm plans. If France is not suitable, they will tie-the-knot at a beach house overlooking the ocean in the swanky Los Angeles resort of Malibu.
It is unknown whether Kelly's ex boyfriend and Zane's best friend, Jason Statham, will be invited to the wedding. Kelly and Jason had been dating for six years before she ran off with his 'Lock Stock' co-star, claiming she had fallen "hopelessly" in love.
Kelly Brook banned from wearing rauchy dress
Billy Zane has reportedly banned his fiancée from wearing a raunchy dress to a British awards ceremony this weekend.
The 'Titanic' star reportedly ordered 25-year-old lover Kelly Brook not to don the gold-sequined designer dress for the BAFTA's ceremony - the British equivalent of the Oscars - this Saturday because he doesn't want her to flash too much flesh.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She had her heart set on a dress, but Billy wasn't impressed when he heard about it. He didn't want other men ogling his girl. He thought the dress was too tarty."
But friends of the disgruntled babe say she has refused to ditch the £15,000 Matthew Williamson frock in favour of something more conservative and may quit the ceremony instead. The source added: "Kelly got quite unhappy. She doesn't want to upset Billy but at the same time she doesn't feel she's got enough time to get a new dress.
"She respects the fact that Billy isn't keen, but she wants to be left to choose what she wears."

BROOK SHOWS OFF WEDDING FINGER RING
Actress KELLY BROOK has fuelled reports she's planning to marry new boyfriend BILLY ZANE by sporting a sparkling diamond ring on her wedding finger.
The British beauty - who makes her big screen starring debut in SCHOOL FOR SEDUCTION - flashed the twinkling accessory on last night's (02DEC04) THE FRANK SKINNER SHOW in the UK, before joking it had come from store WOOLWORTHS.
However, Brook refused to respond when Skinner quizzed her on her future plans with TITANIC star Zane.
When asked by Skinner if she was engaged, she said, "This? No, I just got it from Woolworths the other day, out of a (Christmas) cracker. I'm getting all hot. I don't need to tell anyone these things." But she did confirm Zane has captured her heart in a way no man has achieved before. She added, "Billy's lovely. He's romanced me beyond my dreams."
