Freddie Prinze Jr. Actor

Freddie Prinze Jr.

Freddie emerged as a teen star in the mid 1990's and followed up with a successful acting career, as he used both his plaesant appearance and acting skills en route to stradom. The beginning of Prinze's life was a turbulent one, as his father, the actor Freddie Prinze (best known for his starring role on NBC's Chico and the Man) committed suicide when the younger Prinze was only ten months old. Born in Los Angeles on March 8, 1976, Prinze moved with his mother to Albuquerque, NM, shortly after his father's death. Growing up in New Mexico, Prinze was a poor student who decided to follow in his father's celluloid footsteps. After his high-school graduation in 1994, Prinze took off for Los Angeles with little money and few prospects. However, he soon found work in Hollywood, first appearing in various television shows, including an episode of Family Matters and a few afterschool specials. The actor first broke into film as Claire Danes' boyfriend in To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996). The part was a small one, but helped Prinze to secure his next and more sizeable role in The House of Yes (1997), a wicked little black comedy that starred Parker Posey as Prinze's deliciously unstable sister. The film's release was mainly limited to art houses, unlike Prinze's next film, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). The film was a huge commercial, if not critical, success that propelled Prinze into, if not the limelight, then the hearts of many girls and more than a few boys everywhere. Following this triumph, Prinze went on to do a couple of forgettable films before the 1998 sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. The combined impact of that film and the success of Prinze's next major project, She's All That, gave the actor even greater fame and caused least one writer to dub him the next Leonardo Di Caprio. Unfortunately, Prinze's following endeavor, Wing Commander (1999), proved to be an unmitigated disappointment, serving to illustrate the extreme fluctuations of success in Hollywood. Prinze's growing popularity, however, seemed to survive relatively unscathed, judging by the slew of websites erected in his name.

If there was any question that the actor's popularity was waning in the wake of Wing Commander's lackluster performance, that doubt would soon be confirmed with hard numbers, as a triple threat of romantic comedies unceremoniously removed the teen-crowd superstar crown from Prinze's head. The cookie-cutter offerings Down to You and Boys and Girls (the latter of which reteamed him with She's All That director Robert Iscove) attempted to posit Prinze as a collegiate heartthrob, but both films' mix of moony romance with gross-out gags did little to attract moviegoers of any age. Anticipation for his next starring role, alongside Jessica Biel and Matthew Lillard in 2001's Summer Catch, was understandably low; the film was even saddled with a late-August release, traditionally reserved by studios as a "dumping ground" for unpromising product. As it turned out, Summer Catch's mixed reviews proved more forgiving than its paltry $19 million take.

Prinze's next project brought him out of the romantic comedy trend and into the doghouse, or at least the Mystery Machine. Re-teaming with his usual foil Lillard and starring -- yet again -- opposite his longtime love interest Sarah Michelle Gellar, Prinze took on the role of Fred in the live-action adaptation of Scooby-Doo in 2002. Though almost universally panned by critics, the film reversed Prinze's dwindling status as a box-office draw by appealing to a demographic he'd yet to conquer: preteens. Not one to look a gift franchise in the mouth, Prinze signed on for another installment, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and took nearly two years off between the blockbusters as he tied the knot with Sarah Michelle Gellar ( September 1, 2002-present).

ABC's Head Over Heels for Prinze Jr.

A comedy pilot starring Freddie Prinze Jr. has received a green light from ABC.
The pilot, which Prinze co-wrote and is executive producing as well, is about a successful single guy who was raised in a houseful of women. His life takes an unexpected turn when said women move back in with him.

Should the pilot make it onto ABC's schedule, it would be Prinze's first regular role in a TV series. He would also be following in the footsteps of his father, Freddie Prinze, who starred in NBC's "Chico and the Man" in the mid-1970s.

Prinze wrote the script for the pilot with Bruce Helford ("The Drew Carey Show"), Bruce Rasmussen (also a "Drew" alum) and Conrad Jackson, the Hollywood trade papers report. Helford, Rasmussen and Deborah Oppenheimer join Prinze as exec producers, and veteran director John Pasquin ("Roseanne," "Home Improvement") will helm the pilot.
After beginning his career with a guest spot on "Family Matters," Prinze has starred in "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "She's All That," "Head Over Heels" and the two "Scooby-Doo" movies with his wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar. He's also logged guest appearances on ABC's "Boston Legal" this season, playing the son of William Shatner's Denny Crane.

His father committed suicide when Freddie was very young. He was raised by his mother and grandmother.

He grew up in New Mexico but spent the summers in Puerto Rico with his paternal grandmother.

His Personal quotes:

"Kissing Claire was good. I was really nervous, though. I hadn't kissed many girls in real life." - about his scene with Claire Danes in the film "To Gillian on her 37th Birthday"

"It only takes 30 seconds to pluck my eyebrows, but it hurts. I have to tweeze them in the middle once a week. Otherwise, I look like Bert from Sesame Street. I've been doing it for 11 years."

[on his career choice] [Acting is] the only thing I'm good at. I know how to create and make people feel something. Honestly, if I didn't do this, I would just have some minimum-wage job in New Mexico, and I would go out on the weekends and make just enough money to pay my insurance and pay for a couple beers, and that would be it.

[on Valentine's Day] I think it's kind of a crock, and here's why: I believe we should be doing that every day [...] make your girl feel special whenever you can. I'm a big big believer in surprises. You've got to be romantic all of the time. Guys, you can hate me or whatever for saying this, but you know what you should do.

(On children) "I will be the best father you've ever seen. I will win father of the year everytime. And Sarah will be the most fantastic mother."

"I'm going to stop acting in the next few years because it's just too weird. You have to constantly be willing to live in a scary, emotional place, which is why actors are in therapy all the time."

"If people would only think of (my father's) gift (of comedy) instead of his death, I would love it. I have an album of his stand-up, "Lookin' Good", and no matter how upset I was, anytime, ever, the second I played it he could make me laugh. He was so sharp and spontaneous, so fast!"

"Life is not about making dough or how many movies you can make in a year. It's about finding someone that you can share things with."

His Salary
Scooby-Doo (2002) $2,250,000
Summer Catch (2001) $1,500,000 - $2,000,000

Confirmed: Sarah and Freddie Married

Publicists have confirmed that superstar couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. were married in Mexico on September 1. The couple - who both recently starred in the hit movie Scooby-Doo - have been the subject of fierce gossip over recent months, as the media desperately tried to keep track of their wedding plans. After recent rumors they planned to wed in the Caribbean last month, Freddie's spokesperson insisted, "One hundred per cent on a stack of Bibles, it's not happening. I can tell you this. It'll be sometime this year." But according to British tabloid the Daily Star, the pair finally tied the knot in a lavish beach ceremony on the Pacific coast of Mexico, with no expense spared - they are reported to have splashed out $10,000 on a wedding cake.

Gellar and Prinze to Wed on Caribbean Beach?

Scooby-Doo co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are set to marry this weekend in a romantic beach-side ceremony. The pair, who have been engaged since last April, are reportedly planning to jet off to the Caribbean with a selection of family and friends for an intimate ceremony - but the exact location is currently being fiercely protected. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Sarah and Freddie are doing their best to keep their romantic plans a secret. They are a very private couple and they've even sworn their family to secrecy." However, Freddie apparently told pals when discussing his expensive plans, "Money is no object. This is the most important day of our life together, so we just want it to be perfect."

Freddie Prinze Jr.'s Wedding Sickness

Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. got so drunk before his wedding to Sarah Michelle Gellar, he feared he wouldn't make it to the ceremony. Freddie wed his Scooby-Doo co-star in a lavish Mexican ceremony in September. And while guests marveled at the romantic nuptials, the screen star admits he was more concerned with making it through the day without collapsing. He recalls, "I don't remember the details, because I was drunk most of the time. The night before I ate something and I got so sick I started hallucinating. I was literally shaking on the floor. My best man comes in and I'm butt naked on the floor in a cold sweat looking for my mom. He was like, 'You're getting married in five minutes, your mom and everyone is sitting down and they're waiting for you.' He was dressing me and I had like drool on my cheek. His hand was on the small of my back, holding me up straight so I didn't fall over. But I survived."

Buffy Quits to Give Her New Marriage a Chance

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is putting her marriage to Freddie Prinze Jr. first as she makes plans to quit playing TV vampire slayer Buffy. The sexy star upset fans of the cult show last month when she announced her decision to quit the program, but she hopes they understand she wants to make her marriage work. She says, "I'm 26, I'm married and I never see my husband. There have been times when it's difficult. The show, as we know it, is over. I need a rest. Teachers get sabbaticals, actors don't." But Gellar admits she hopes Buffy won't be killed off - because she'd like to return to the role from time to time in a possible spin-off. And she still isn't convinced her decision to walk away is the best choice she'll ever make. She says, "I would love to come back. The moment I say all this, I'm going to get the last script and go, 'Oh my God, this is so scary. I love this job, I love the fans."

Gellar and Prinze Have Second Honeymoon

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have made up for their post-wedding problems by going on a second honeymoon. The Scooby-Doo co-stars, who wed in a lavish September 1 ceremony in Mexico, had their first few days as man and wife thwarted when bad weather hit the area they were staying in and Gellar suffered a stomach bug. The pair made up for it with a romantic 11-day getaway to the ritzy Four Seasons Resort on the idyllic Hawaiian island of Maui starting Christmas Day. They started in a two-bedroom, ocean-view suite, setting them back $900 a night. But all honeymoons must come to an end - Gellar headed back to the set of her hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer on January 6, while Prinze is set to tread the boards of London's West End to star in the play This Is Our Youth with American Pie hunk Chris Klein.

Brood-y Buffy

Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar is desperate to start a family with new hubby Freddie Prinze Jr. and during a recent shopping trip she demonstrated her determination. The sexy star was out shopping in swanky Beverly Hills with her Scooby-Doo costar spouse when they stopped off at a chemist to pick up some essentials. The couple, who wed in September, picked up a home pregnancy testing kit, some vitamins and a hot water bottle - and left promising to fill their house with a gaggle of kids.

Freddie Wants a TV Show

Newlywed Freddie Prinze Jr. is set to follow his wife Sarah Michelle Gellar's example and get himself a hit TV show after playing a gay nanny in Friends. The Scooby-Doo star admits the experience on the sitcom was a real treat and he has now asked his agent to get him his own TV show. He says, "Friends was a pretty sweet gig. I don't know what I've been doing the last seven years making stupid movies. I'm pretty much done making movies and I'm going to get a show. This is the coolest, greatest job that I've ever had. I look at what these guys and girls get to do every week and literally I'm in awe." The actor's new character, Sandy, is hired to look after Ross and Rachel's new baby Emma on the show.

Gellar "Stole" My Wedding Ideas Fumes '90210' Star

Tiffani-amber Thiessen has accused Sarah Michelle Gellar of stealing her wedding plans. According to pals of the Beverly Hills 90210 star, Gellar's September wedding to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. was an exact copy of Thiessen's cancelled nuptials with party guru Jeffrey Best. A source says, "Stars get a lot of money for the photos, interviews, whatever, but the weddings have to be original. When she (Thiessen) saw Gellar's wedding photos she flipped. It was her wedding. It made the monetary value of her wedding nothing."

Freddie and Sarah's Free Wedding

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s luxury wedding in Mexico didn't cost them a penny - they sold photo rights for the bash to a British magazine. The couple tied the knot in a swanky ceremony in Jalisco, Mexico earlier this month, with guests including former Charmed star Shannen Doherty. And, according to US gossip site Msnbc.Com, neither Sarah or Freddie needed to dip into their Hollywood-sized purses to pay for the event after handing over rights for coverage of the event to British mag Hello! A source told the site, "There were extra costs associated with the wedding because Sarah and Freddie called in extra security to keep away the paparazzi." They claim the star's wedding pictures, which recently appeared in a 15-page feature in the magazine, made them a "six figure" sum. And Leslie Sloane - spokeswoman for the two stars - confirms, "A US magazine buzzed over a pre-wedding dinner in a helicopter the night before. We had to move the wedding to another location. We figured after all that, they were going to get photos anyway and we might as well have some control." Sloane is quick to insist the pair will not make a profit from money paid to them by Hello! She says any money left over after paying for the wedding will be donated to a charity that helps animals.

Newlywed actors Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have only been married a week and they're already planning a family. The gorgeous couple met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997 and tied the knot in a romantic Mexico wedding earlier this month. Freddie, 26, enthuses, "Now the only thing I want out of life is to be a father. I'll be the best father you've ever seen. I'll win Father of the Year every time and Sarah will be the most fantastic mother." Tragically Freddie lost his own father, television actor Freddie Prinze, who committed suicide in 1977 when Freddie was only 10 months old.

Health Problems for Gellar

Seafood and storms almost wrecked Sarah Michelle Gellar's dream wedding to Freddie Prinze Jr. at the weekend - and ended up with a hospital visit. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star's plans started going awry when a tropical thunderstorm hit the Mexican town of Jalisco, where the couple said their "I do's," on Saturday - on the eve of their wedding. And then the seafood platter the couple and their guests dined on at the rehearsal dinner left Gellar with a bout of Montezuma's Revenge. Insiders claim the actress was so concerned her stomach bug would wreck her big day, she checked into a local hospital, where she was treated for dehydration and released.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Weds

It's official - Sarah Michelle Gellar is now Mrs. Prinze. After newspaper reports today claimed the Buffy The Vampire Slayer star had tied the knot to fiance Freddie Prinze Jr., further details have emerged about the swanky ceremony in Jalisco, Mexico, on Sunday. The picturesque town is situated in Puerto Vallarta, where 1964 movie Night Of The Iguana was shot. The actress wore a Vera Wang gown and the groom sported a custom-made linen suit. A group of friends and family attended the ceremony.

Sarah And Freddie In Secret Wedding Shocker?

Sarah Michelle Gellar and fiance Freddie Prinze Jr. are fuming with actor-pal Matthew Lillard after he told the press the couple have wed in secret. The couple has spent months trying to avoid questions about their impending big day, and now they're being asked whether they're already husband and wife, thanks to their Scooby-Doo co-star. In a press junket on Monday, Lillard told reporters, "There's nothing better than working for six months with people who are happy and in love and so that was a real treat. They're kind of glowing and newlyweds and that's fun." But it seems the actor's "newlywed" comment is premature, even though the irritated couple initially joked about his gaffe. In an interview following his pal's comments, Prinze Jr. said, "It's December 3, this big church and everyone's invited. Bring your kids." And when Gellar was asked if she and her fiance were already married, she sighed and fired back, "Are we? Are we?" The actress' publicist has since confirmed that Lillard was "just goofing about".

Scooby-Doo Stars Fall Out Over Poop Prank

Pals Matthew Lillard and Freddie Prinze Jr. fell out on the set of summer movie Scooby-Doo over a foul-smelling practical joke. Prinze Jr. relieved himself in Lillard's trailer toilet during one of Lillard's days off, didn't flush and then turned the heat up to make sure the stench would be unbearable when Lillard returned 24 hours later. Prinze Jr. admits this is the fourth time he has played a similar prank on his pal - and until now he has never been caught. "I try to have fun on sets and loosen up. I went into his trailer after I had my morning coffee and I did my business in his bathroom. It made me laugh. I left it for him and I turned the heat up in his trailer and then I left. It was there for a day and then he showed up and I was peeking out of my trailer and he opened the door and it looked like somebody had punched him dead in the face. The poor sap had to go in and clean it up and he found out it was me and he was a little upset." Lillard adds, "The worst thing was there was no water in the toilet." Unfortunately for Lillard, he'll never be able to get back at his pal - because Freddie's pranks have made him fully aware of how cruel friends can be. Prinze Jr. adds, "People don't get me. I'm aware. I look around."

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Wedding To Get Hollywood Direction

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have asked Hollywood director Adam Shankman to conduct their marriage ceremony later this year. Shankman, who helmed The Wedding Planner, was asked by the couple to officiate at a non-denominational service. Shankman plans to get ordained via an internet site that requires only names and addresses in order to qualify for his proposed duties. Shankman, a longtime pal of the glamorous duo, says he was at dinner with the happy couple when they shocked him by asking, "Would you like to do the honour of marrying us?" The director says he nearly choked on his food, explaining, "It's a crazy honor."

Sarah Michelle Gellar Moves In With Her Prinze

Sarah's property in the San Fernando Valley is being offered for $2.1 million and Prinze Jr.'s home in Toluca Lake is going for $3.22 million. The couple announced their engagement in April but have not yet spoken of any wedding plans.

Julia Stiles Has Her Eye On Freddie Prinze Jr.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's got some competition for her fiance Freddie Prinze Jr.'s affections - his one-time co-star Julia Stiles. The actress was asked who of all her co-stars she'd most like to be stuck on a desert island with. And although she had movie hunks from Brad Pitt to Ethan Hawke to choose from, Stiles picked her goofy pal Freddie. She says, "I could say Freddie Prinze Jr. - I know he's getting married and everything but it's purely platonic because he was really fun to be around and he would keep me happy. Yeah, you'd want to have a man on a desert island."

Freddie Prinze Jr's Hair Horror

Hollywood heart-throb Freddie Prinze Jr. was traumatized on new film Scooby Doo - because he had to keep dying his hair. Freddie, who co-stars with girlfriend Sarah Michelle Gellar on the upcoming cartoon remake, hated having to keep his dark hair dyed blonde for the shoot. He moans, "I did not like being blond because I had to get my hair, my roots done every week and it sucked. In the sequel, Freddie'll be brunette. We'll have a salon in the first scene, and hey! brown hair."

Freddie Prinze & Buffy

Actor Freddie Prinze Jr. is madly in love with fiancee Sarah Michelle Gellar - but refuses to set a wedding date. And the 25-year-old star may be full of praise for his fiancee, but will not reveal details of when they plan to tie the knot. The 25-year-old star gushes, "I think Sarah is going to be the biggest movie star in the world. She really is amazing. She is talented and other people would tell you the same thing. I love her." But the actor remains tight-lipped over their wedding, saying, "Even if I was sitting in front of Barbara Walters, I would never in a million years give you that answer. We are engaged. We will be married. You guys will know after it happens."

Freddie's Stunt Butt

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar banned her boyfriend from stripping in his new film. Freddie Prinze Jr. was asked to bare his backside in Summer Catch. But Sarah forced the director to employ a stunt bottom for the scene. Freddie says, "Nobody is ever going to see my ass besides Sarah."

Freddie Prinze Jr. Helps To Break-in Inexperienced Actress

Jessica Biel has one person to thank for calming her nerves on her first major leading movie role - hunky co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. Freddie, who is engaged to sexy Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar, plays Jessica's love interest in the new flick Summer Catch, and the young actress says he was more than willing to make her feel at ease. Jessica says, "He was almost brotherly, making sure I was comfortable, okay with the lines, the wardrobe. My nervousness fell away when I realized all the support I had around me." And Jessica was so impressed with her co-star, she's holding out for another pairing with him. She adds, "I'm hoping there'll be a Summer Catch 2, so we can all hang out together again."

Freddie's Star Wars Scar

Freddie Prinze Jr. used to play Star Wars with his cousin Ricky - and has scars to prove it. When he was just five years old the Hollywood heart-throb injured his chin playing with a make-shift light sabre, and still has the marks to remind him. He recalls, "I was Luke Skywalker and he was Darth Vader. He was taking me back and we were on this jungle gym and I slid down this slide to get away from Darth Vader. The pole we were using as a light sabre hit the ground before I hit the ground and then it stuck in my chin. When it came out a big old piece of my chin came with it and my mom ran out screaming and she grabbed the piece of my chin and we rushed to the hospital. They put it back in and stitched it in and it looked like I had a beard at five years old with my stitches."

Sarah Michelle And Freddie Engaged

Hollywood lovers Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Junior announced their engagement at her 24th birthday last Saturday. The stunning Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress had a joint celebration with her agent Eddie Yablans in Los Angeles, California. Prinze, with whom she is currently filming the movie Scooby-Doo, presented her with a ring designed by Cathy Waterman. The gorgeous couple has not announced when and where they will tie the knot.

The Prinze Catches Some Summer Fun

Freddie Prinze Jnr/Summer Catch Interview

What with his engagement to Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar and his recent gig in Australia shooting the anticipated Scooby-Doo, Freddie Prinze jnr is one busy Hollywood star. He also has a new flick on the horizon, the baseball-themed romantic comedy Summer Catch. Prinze talked to Paul Fischer about Sarah, stardom and the pitfalls of spending several months in Australia.

Freddie Prinze Jnr appears to have lost much of his trademark thick hair. Now with shaved head, Prinze says it was a result of the blonde locks he donned making Scooby-Doo in Australia. "At the end of the film [Scooby] my hair turned into straw, because I had to get it bleached every week, so at the end of the movie I decided to shave it bald." Prinze spent several months in Queensland shooting the big-screen incarnation of the popular 'toon series, in which Prinze is Fred to Sarah Michelle Gellar's Daphne. Audiences will finally get to see the 25-year old teen heartthrob in a very different light. "Yeah I get to do comedy - and full out comedy - which I'm sure people are going to like a lot." Prinze came to the Scooby-Doo project well prepared, to say the least. "I have every Scooby-Doo episode ever made on tape, even the bad ones they did in the eighties", Prinze laughingly admits. In the big-budget movie, "everyone is pretty damn close to the cartoon characters we play." Though Freddie enjoyed the experience of working 6 months in Australia on the film, "at the end of the day, as awesome as Australia is, I'm an American, and I NEED to be in America, despite how incredibly kicked back the Aussies are. What he didn't like was working on Queensland's Gold Coast. "I love good food, and they have really lousy restaurants, except the odd Chinese place. But I'm a HUGE Italian food fan, so Sarah and I used to fly to Sydney on every weekend that we could, and we were outta there.. For the record, his favourite Italian place was Otto, in Sydney wharfside suburb of Woolloomooloo.

At least Freddie had Sarah to keep him out of trouble during the lengthy shoot. "Yeah working with her was awesome, and makes the whole environment much easier". Prinze has come a long way since making his screen debut at age 20-- kissing Claire Danes in 1996's To Gillian on her 37th Birthday. One of Hollywood's biggest teen stars, Prinze says that he doesn't have a problem find characters in these teen genre films that are different from those who came before. "I feel awesome about it, because I've always been able to find characters that are different, so even if my film was similar to another one, my character was always different."

Prinze hopes his new film, Summer Catch, goes beyond the core audience of teens who have been with the young actor throughout his career. Prinze plays a troubled minor league pitcher who is saved by his love of the game, not to mention his love of a rich rebellious girl (7th Heaven's Jessica Biel). "This character was certainly very different to anyone else. It was right on the page that he's a firecracker and when he gets upset he just explodes, and I'm just the opposite, so it was good to be able to yell and scream at people, because I never do." Prinze, who comes across as quietly contemplative, says that nothing upsets him anymore, not even the press, paparazzi, or even bad reviews, of which he's had his share. "I think I'm a really good actor, one who gets better at the end of every movie to when I started. I'm constantly getting better and learning; if I read a great review about me, I don't care and it doesn't make me feel particularly good about myself, because I already do. On the other hand, if I read a BAD review I don't care either, because it doesn't change the way I feel about my work. I KNOW my work's really good, or I wouldn't move on once they say 'cut'." Prinze adds that he doesn't act to please anybody, but "because I really love it and I get to play cowboys and Indians and never have to grow up." No wonder he acts like a big kid as he boyishly talks about playing a baseball pitcher in Summer Catch. "I got to work with some of the best pitching scouts and coaches in the country to make sure my pitch was perfect, in that you SAW me throw that sinker, you see where my hands are and you know that I'm throwing a sinker. I felt like a little kid every day doing something like this."

It's the fantasy element of movies that clearly inspires young Freddie. If he had his way, he says he would have "made an awesome Spiderman. I really want to be a cool superhero." Baseball pitcher and Fred in Scooby-Doo will just have to do for now.
